A New Chapter – Departure from Footsore Miniatures & Games

After eight incredible years, I am sharing the news of my departure from Footsore Miniatures & Games. I have sold my share in the business to my friend and long-time collaborator, Mark Farr. This decision marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both of us.
Mark will continue to lead Footsore with the same passion and dedication that helped the company grow into what it is today. The metal range of The Barons' War and Outremer will continue to be manufactured and distributed by Footsore, ensuring that these much-loved miniatures remain available and supported. We will also continue our collaboration on our established titles, Gangs of Rome and Mortal Gods, which have built strong and passionate communities over the years.
It has been an incredible journey, from those early days in Nottingham when we took over Footsore Miniatures to developing a range of historical and narrative-driven games that now enjoy global support. I am deeply grateful to the entire Footsore team for their dedication, creativity, and hard work. Together, we built something truly special, and I'm immensely proud of what we achieved.
I want to thank our community, including the painters, players, hobbyists, and supporters, who have embraced the worlds we've created together. Whether it was exploring the alleys of ancient Rome, clashing with hoplites, or raising your banners in medieval England, your enthusiasm and feedback helped shape every release.
Although I'm leaving Footsore, I'm not stepping away from gaming. I remain fully committed to developing new projects and continuing to support the games we've brought to life. My love for this hobby and its community is stronger than ever, a passion I'll continue to explore in my role at Wargames Atlantic, where I'm excited to help shape new opportunities and experiences for gamers worldwide.
I will also keep working on Warhost, a fantasy tabletop skirmish game based on The Barons' War, with Paul Hicks and the stunning range of 28mm traditional miniatures he has sculpted for it.
I leave Footsore with warmth, gratitude, and a sense of excitement for the future. I know the company is in good hands with Mark and the team, and I look forward to seeing what they create next.
With thanks and best wishes,
Andy Hobday
